About the role
Toowoomba, QLD
Every day, Life Without Barriers provides support and care to children and young people, as we work collaboratively with families, carers, and communities, to ensure they have the environment they deserve to grow. With a focus on ensuring safety and respect, this is an opportunity to make a positive and meaningful difference in these young lives and help pave a brighter future.
Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers. Join a community of people dedicated to breaking down barriers.
We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.
Make a life-changing impact in your community. As our Carer Assessor, Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator, you will recruit, assess and support foster carers who provide safe, nurturing homes for children and young people.
Working closely with prospective carers, you'll guide them through the assessment process, facilitate training and help build a strong network of carers across the Toowoomba region. While this is a work-from-home role, the successful applicant must be based locally in Toowoomba or the surrounding area and available to travel regularly throughout the region for home visits, carer assessments, training and community recruitment activities. Applicants residing outside the local area who are unable to meet these requirements will not be considered.
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity offering flexibility, autonomy and the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and families.
Include your resume and a cover letter in one document and click Apply to submit your application.
