The RoleOur Care Services portfolio includes:
MND Advice and Support Coordination;
Equipment and Assistive Technology;
Allied Health services across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy including Respiratory Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Clinical Psychology and Dietetics; and
a range of supplementary services supporting people living with MND and their families.
As Director of Care Services, you will:

contribute to organisational strategy, culture and performance as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
You are an experienced senior leader who can move comfortably between strategy and operations.
You understand that strong executive leadership in a purpose-led organisation means leading through others while remaining connected to the services, people and clients affected by your decisions.
You will bring:
substantial senior leadership experience within health, disability, aged care, community services or another complex human services environment;
experience leading managers, team leaders and/or multidisciplinary services;
strong knowledge of regulated service delivery, ideally including the NDIS;
demonstrated experience in quality, safeguarding, risk and compliance;
sound financial and resource management capability;
strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills;
the ability to develop capable, collaborative and accountable teams; and
sound judgement and the ability to balance client outcomes, workforce needs, quality, risk and organisational sustainability.
A relevant tertiary qualification or substantial equivalent senior leadership experience in a relevant service environment is required. Postgraduate qualifications in management, leadership, governance, health or human services will be highly regarded.
Previous experience with MND is not essential. We are looking for a strong human services leader who can understand complex needs, build effective services and lead with both purpose and accountability.
Why MND Queensland?MND Queensland is Queensland’s leading organisation dedicated to supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease, their families and carers.
For more than 40 years, we have developed specialist knowledge and services focused on the unique and rapidly changing needs of people impacted by MND. Our mission is to ensure every Queenslander affected by MND has access to best-practice care and support, while contributing to the search for a cure.
What sets MND Queensland apart is the breadth of specialist support we provide. Our services bring together MND Advice and Support Coordination, Equipment and Assistive Technology, a five-discipline Allied Health service and supplementary services designed specifically around the needs of the MND community.
We combine deep MND expertise with strong connections across the disability, health and community sectors and a commitment to ensuring the voices and needs of people impacted by MND are understood and represented.
For our next Director of Care Services, this creates a rare opportunity to:
join the Executive Leadership Team of Queensland’s leading specialist MND support organisation;
lead a diverse and highly specialised portfolio of statewide services;
work directly with the CEO and contribute at Board level;
influence the development of services in response to changing client, community and sector needs; and
remain close enough to service delivery to see the real-world impact of the decisions you make.
If you are an experienced leader looking for an executive role where purpose, people and service quality genuinely matter, we would welcome your application.
Mandatory RequirementsThe successful candidate will require:
a current Queensland Driver Licence;
an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance; and
a satisfactory National Police Check.
If you are ready to bring your leadership experience to an organisation where your decisions can make a tangible difference to Queenslanders living with MND, we would like to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant leadership experience and interest in the role.
