Assistant Manager | Grand Tasman Hotel 

*Choose how you work your hours! This position offers the flexibility to work a 4 day week (same total hours) or a standard 5 day working week.*

Base salary from $80,000 + Super + Bonus scheme + Group wide discounts

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Grand Tasman Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.

Centrally located on Tasman Terrace, The Grand Tasman Hotel is a cornerstone of Port Lincoln’s hospitality scene. The venue features a busy, family-friendly Bistro known for top-tier pub classics, an extensive bar selection, and 25 comfortable ensuite guest rooms. It is a welcoming coastal destination for both local regulars and travelers passing through.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements
