Warehouse Store Person

Kangaroo Transport Industries is a family owned business who have been operating for 35 + years in the transport sector and take pride in providing Service with Integrity.

We operate locally and nationally to transport and deliver a range of local and interstate freight to and from our customer sites, ensuring our supplier and customer commitments are met on schedule, safely and in good condition.

Our 12000 sqm warehouse stores a wide variety of products that also form a part of our local and linehaul freight service.

Duties and responsibilities:

Warehouse Store Person will perform a wide range of tasks, which depend on the needs and size of the business. Typical duties include:

• picking and packing orders, which involves collecting products and getting them ready for dispatch

• checking incoming goods against picking list and inspecting them to ensure they are free of damage

• unloading delivery trucks and unpacking the contents of packages

• using warehousing machinery, such as forklifts, High-Reach to lift, place and remove items on high shelves or racks

• sorting items and placing them in the correct location on shelves or in bins

• complying with safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment

• maintaining a clean and tidy work area

• Using of RF Scanner

Skills and qualifications:

• organisational skills

• good written and verbal communication skills

• ability to interpret and process warehouse documentation, such as picking lists and bills of lading

• ability to lift, move, load and unload heavy items

• good numerical skills

• attention to detail

• ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision and guidance

• willingness to work overtime

• MUST be a team player

Requirements for the position

• Current Drivers licence

• Current Forklift licence

• Transport experience would be advantageous

• Responsible and reliable

• Flexible

• Ability to adhere to OH&S regulation and requirements
