Car Cleaner / Detailer / Yard Assistant

About the role

Cobram Toyota is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Car Cleaner / Detailer / Yard Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis in Cobram, VIC. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the automotive trades sector, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the presentation and condition of our vehicle inventory. Your work will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the professional reputation of our dealership, making this position integral to our day-to-day operations.

What you'll be doing

• Cleaning and detailing vehicles to a high standard, including interior vacuuming, exterior washing, and polishing

• Preparing vehicles for sale or customer collection by ensuring they are spotless and in perfect condition

• Operating cleaning equipment and detailing tools safely and effectively

• Maintaining the yard and work areas in a clean, organised and safe manner

• Moving and positioning vehicles as required throughout the facility

• Assisting with general yard maintenance tasks and vehicle storage

• Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times

• Liaising with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle preparation

• Basic Dealership office cleaning, and other general duties

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a car cleaner, detailer, or in a similar automotive yard role

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results

• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods

• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment and detailing techniques

• A valid driver's licence and clean driving record

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in automotive detailing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
