Driver Trainer

We’re seeking an experienced Driver Trainer & Assessor

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused professional with heavy vehicle experience to join a growing, well-established organisation.

The Role

• Based in the Perth office, you will be responsible for the seamless new employee training.

• Assess, onboard and train heavy vehicle drivers.

• Provide new employees with an outline of organisational history, systems, policies and procedures.

• Deliver training programs, toolbox sessions and practical coaching.

• Conduct inductions and VOC's

• Develop and maintain training materials and competency assessments.

• Partner with Operations to identify training needs and improve driver capability.

• Promote a strong safety culture, teamwork and continuous improvement across the business.

Criteria

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification, with experience in training and assessing the competence of heavy vehicle operators

• Current MC License with heavy vehicle driving experience.

• Strong understanding of transport operations and industry best practice.

• Excellent communication and coaching skills with a passion for developing people.

• Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle legislation, fatigue management and compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across the business.
