About the role
We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

Edney Primary School (PS) is located in High Wycombe on Beeloo Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, in the foothills of the Shire of Kalamunda, and is a welcoming, inclusive and community-minded school where Children are the Heart of Our School. The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally exhibit highly developed interpersonal skills and the capacity to work cooperatively with others to create a welcoming and vibrant environment for students and families.
Suitable applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. A focus on early intervention and differentiated curriculum to meet each student at their point of need is a high priority.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess proficiency in current and effective teaching practices and be supportive of the school’s ethos, strategic goals and directions. Knowledge and experience in Positive Behaviour Support, Zones of Regulation, Talk for Writing and The Science of Reading would be highly desirable.
We are looking for teachers who use data-informed practice to identify student needs and differentiate effectively, resulting in high levels of achievement and progress for all students. Experience in implementing the trauma-informed practices and proactive behaviour support strategies will be viewed favourably.
Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to providing outstanding care and exemplary teaching that nurtures students to reach their academic, social, emotional and creative potential.
