Senior Commercial Analyst - Melbourne-based (Hybrid)

The Role

Our Commercial Finance team at Bega Group has two newly created Senior Commercial Analyst opportunities, each offering the chance to partner with key stakeholders and influence commercial outcomes across the business: with one position focused on Third-Party Manufacturing and the other supporting customer portfolios.

While each role has a distinct business focus, both positions play a critical role in delivering financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and profitability insights that support informed decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance, you will help identify opportunities for improvement and influence business outcomes through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate financial insights to support commercial decision-making and business performance
  
• Deliver financial modelling, profitability analysis and cost optimisation initiatives to identify margin improvement opportunities
  
• Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, demand planning and finance to support strategic business outcomes
  
• Prepare month-end reporting, inventory analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and financial performance reviews
  
• Support new product development, commercial negotiations and ad hoc analysis in a fast-paced, evolving business environment

About You

• Experience in commercial finance, management accounting or business analysis within FMCG, manufacturing, supply chain or similar commercial environments
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  
• Sound commercial acumen with experience across budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis
  
• A collaborative communicator who can build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions
  
• Adaptable and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can change
