Freight Forwarding and Operations Officer

We are an Australian-owned Freight Forwarder and Customs Brokerage with over 22 years of business in the industry.

About the Role

This role involves end-to-end import and export operations, covering Sea Freight (LCL & FCL) and Airfreight. You will be a key point of contact for clients, overseas agents, and service providers, ensuring smooth and efficient shipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the shipments (Sea & Air) from the booking to the final delivery

• Arrange bookings with shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents

• Coordinate operations, customs clearance, transport, and final delivery to clients

• Provide exceptional customer service and proactive shipment communication

• Monitor shipment progress and update tracking/status reports

• Respond to queries from overseas agents, suppliers, and clients

• Support the sales and forwarding team as required

• Operate daily functions using CargoWise

Skills & Experience

• 3 + years’ experience within the freight forwarding/logistics industry

• Proven experience in import and export air & sea operations

• Strong customer service background in freight forwarding

• Familiarity and working knowledge of CargoWise

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and overseas agents

• Reliable, hard-working, and a strong team player
