Trainee Driller

This is an outstanding opportunity to kick-start your mining career with one of MACA's established, high-performing Drill & Blast teams across our Western Australian mine sites. As a Trainee Driller, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing support to develop the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate a range of drill rigs. Working a 2:1 roster, you will learn from experienced professionals, contribute to daily production targets and build the technical skills required to progress into a qualified Driller role. You will become part of a collaborative, high-performing crew committed to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the operation of production drilling equipment. Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance. Support drill setup, rod handling, and drilling activities. Follow Drill & Blast plans and operational procedures. Maintain a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards. Complete training and competency requirements as part of the traineeship. Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to achieve production goals.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

Current driver's licence (preferred). A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Previous experience in mining, construction, agriculture, heavy industry, or machinery operation is advantageous but not essential.
