Data Analyt (Entry / Junior)

Role Description This is a part-time, entry/junior Data Analyst role based in Melbourne, VIC, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and organize data from internal systems and external sources to support reporting and decision-making. The role involves building and maintaining basic dashboards and reports, performing exploratory data analysis, and supporting statistical summaries of member and market activity. The Data Analyst will help model data sets for clearer insight, document data processes, and communicate findings in a clear, structured manner to non-technical stakeholders. The position also includes collaborating with team members on ad hoc analysis requests and contributing to process improvements in data quality and reporting.QualificationsStrong analytical skills and foundational experience in data analytics to interpret data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights.Basic understanding of statistics to support reporting, summarize data, and validate findings.Knowledge of data modeling concepts to organize and structure data for reporting and analysis.Effective communication skills to present data findings clearly and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is beneficial.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment within a hybrid setting, managing time and priorities effectively.Relevant coursework or training in data analytics, statistics, information systems, or a related field; a degree or diploma in a quantitative discipline is an advantage but not mandatory for strong entry-level candidates.Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques in a data-focused role.
