GRIFFIN COAL

The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking experienced Mechanical Tradespersons to join our infrastructure maintenance team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and equipment. You will work efficiently and safely to achieve agreed availability and reliability targets.

In this role your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Performing maintenance, servicing and repairs on fixed plant and infrastructure in accordance with scheduled and breakdown maintenance requirements;

• Actively contribute to achieving equipment availability targets;

• Fabricating parts;

• Attend to diagnosis and fault finding of faults and breakdowns; and

• Undertaking checks to verify equipment is fit for purpose and in suitable and safe working condition.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

• Relevant trade qualification;

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a tradesperson in a heavy industry or mining environment;

• Current Dogging, Basic Rigging and Forklift (high risk) licences;

• Current WA "C" class driver's licence;

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
