Experienced Florist (Casual – 25 to 30 Fixed Hours per Week)

Alexander House of Flowers is looking for an experienced florist to join our friendly team.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about floristry, has excellent customer service skills, and can work independently in a fast-paced flower shop.

Responsibilities

• Create fresh flower bouquets and floral arrangements.

• Design sympathy flowers, wreaths, vase arrangements, and gift hampers.

• Prepare flowers for display and maintain their freshness.

• Assist customers with flower selection and gift ideas.

• Process orders for walk-in customers, phone orders, and online orders.

• Keep the shop clean, organised, and well presented.

• Help with flower deliveries when required.

• Follow Alexander House of Flowers’ design style, quality standards, and work procedures.

Requirements

• Previous florist experience is essential.

• Able to confidently create bouquets, arrangements, hampers, and other floral products without supervision.

• Good knowledge of flower care and handling.

• Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a busy environment.

• Willing to learn and adapt to our work style and floral designs.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• A current driver’s licence is preferred.

Position Details

• Casual position with 25-30 guaranteed hours per week.

• Opportunity for additional hours during busy periods and special occasions.

• Immediate start available for the right candidate.
