Salary Range: Base Salary $33.68 per hour + super, plus overtime and penalty rates dependent on work performed. Additional entitlements and overtime do not form part of the advertised base salary

About The Role
The Stuart Waste Facility is Townsville City Council’s largest waste facility which accepts residential and commercial wastes. The site practices resource recovery and waste diversion of recyclable materials where possible. The site consists of a weighbridge, active landfill, transfer station, laydown / storage area and resource recovery area. This is an extremely busy site and requires individuals to be physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
We’re looking for someone to work at the waste facility who takes pride in correct waste management and can confidently operate Heavy Rigid trucks in a safe and compliant manner. The successful applicant must demonstrate respectful customer service behaviour and a desire to learn about compliant waste industry operations. If you want a steady job that will keep you physically fit, assist in the safe operation of the landfill and supports a cleaner, better community, we’d like to hear from you.
