Member Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator

About the role

Common Equity Housing SA is seeking a Member Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator to strengthen relationships with our housing cooperatives, member tenants and sector partners. This full-time role is responsible for coordinating member engagement activities, supporting cooperative development initiatives, building partnerships and delivering communications that help strengthen our cooperative housing network.

We work closely with member organisations, tenants, government agencies and community partners to create positive housing outcomes and build connected communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engagement activities, workshops, forums and practical support for member organisations.

• Build and maintain relationships with cooperatives, community organisations, government agencies and sector partners.

• Prepare newsletters, website content, social media updates and other member communications.

• Coordinate events, training sessions and community engagement activities.

• Maintain records, action logs and reporting information to support governance and compliance requirements.

• Contribute to partnership opportunities, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify and escalate risks, issues and member concerns in line with CEHSA procedures.

What we're looking for

• Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications or partnership development.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.

• Confidence using Microsoft 365 and a range of communication platforms.

• A commitment to community housing, cooperative values and member-focused service delivery.

• Knowledge of the community housing or not-for-profit sector would be highly regarded.
