About the Role

Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of People & Culture services across the organisation, ensuring consistent, high-quality support to leaders and employees.

You will provide leadership and coordination across:

• People Business Partner
• Learning & Development Officer
• Talent Acquisition Officer
• Administration Officer - People & Culture

• Workforce Planning

• Learning and Development
• Workers Compensation and Return to Work
• Workplace Wellbeing
• HR Operations
• Policy Development
• Strategic People Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the operational delivery of the People & Culture function.
• Mentor and support a multidisciplinary HR team.
• Provide expert advice to managers on complex employee and industrial relations matters.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment and organisational capability initiatives.
• Oversee Workers Compensation, Return to Work and wellbeing programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Council policies.
• Build strong relationships with Executive, senior leaders, employees, unions and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across HR systems, processes and service delivery.
• Prepare workforce reports, insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
• At least five years' experience in a senior Human Resources or People & Culture role.
• Strong knowledge of Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and employment legislation.
• Experience leading or coordinating multiple HR functions.
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence leaders and build trusted relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience within Local Government or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
