Service Advisor

About the role

Kerry's Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Darwin, NT. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our service department, acting as the key link between our customers and our workshop technical team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing expert guidance on vehicle maintenance and repairs, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service. This role is instrumental in building customer loyalty and driving the success of our service department.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, understanding their vehicle concerns and service requirements

• Provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance, repairs, and available service options

• Create accurate work orders and estimates for customers, ensuring all details are captured

• Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion

• Keep customers informed of service progress and any additional work requirements

• Process customer payments and handle invoicing with accuracy

• Maintain detailed service records and customer information in our management system

• Identify and recommend additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role

• Strong knowledge of automotive services, maintenance schedules, and common vehicle repairs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously

• A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping

• A valid Northern Territory Drivers Licence
