Support Worker

Our client is a leading disabilty support provider that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability needs.

We are currently seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants living in the community with domestic assistance, personal hygiene support, transportation and social/emotional support.

Overview of the role:

• Support NDIS participants living in their own private home to help them maintain their independence and improve their social & daily living skills.
• Participants require support between 7am - 5pm (approximately) Monday to Friday & occasional weekends.
• Clients are located in Minto and the surrounding suburbs.
• Low intensity suppors to assist participants to live independently.
• Supports include domestic assistance, meal preparation, medication assistance (prompting), transportation and support with personal hygiene care (toileting, showering, feeding etc.)
• Providing companionship and social support.

• Paid experience as a Disability Support Worker
• A completed Certificate III in Community Services (or relevant) 
• Australian Driver's License
• First Aid Certificate with current CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check for paid employment
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
• National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Reliable smart phone with data

• A casual role, with 2 - 3 days of work per week (weekdays)

• Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.
