Purchasing Officer

About the role

Royans Townsville is seeking an energetic, reliable, and can-do person to join our team in a Parts Purchasing role.

Supporting our busy workshop, you will play an important part in keeping repairs moving safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing, ordering, and receipting truck parts and workshop consumables, while maintaining appropriate stock levels.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, workshop team and suppliers, you will help ensure the right parts are available when needed to minimise downtime for our customers.

What we are looking for

• Parts interpreting experience, ideally with knowledge of heavy vehicle truck parts, accessories and brands

• Knowledge of purchasing and stores procedures

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• The ability to work effectively under pressure with a positive outlook in a team environment

• High attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work

• Familiarity and proven use of parts inventory systems (iBody preferred)

• Current driver’s licence

• Forklift licence (desirable)
