• Temporary (Up to 23 July 2027) Full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
• Located in Parramatta, location negotiable for the right candidate.

• Environment Officer Class 8, Salary ranges from $119,292 to $134,587 pa plus super

We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Project Officer to support the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of climate change and net zero emissions programs.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that deliver meaningful environmental outcomes across business, government and household sectors while ensuring effective program administration, data management and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with internal teams, delivery partners and stakeholders, you will be responsible for supporting program design and implementation, managing grants administration systems such as SmartyGrants by designing, building and testing forms and providing troubleshooting as required, overseeing project reporting requirements, analysing program data, managing contracts, and contributing to evidence-based decision-making.

About You

We are looking for an adaptable and motivated professional who can combine strong project management skills with technical expertise in grants administration and data analysis.

You will bring:

• Experience delivering projects or programs in government, environmental, sustainability, climate, energy or related sectors.
• Demonstrated experience building, testing, and administering grant forms using grant administration systems, preferably SmartyGrants.
• Demonstrated experience providing practical troubleshooting and support to staff and applicants using grant administration systems, preferably SmartyGrants
• Strong capability in building and managing complex spreadsheets.
• Experience collating, analysing and reporting on data, including the use of Power BI.
• Experience managing contracts, monitoring project performance and assessing reporting requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of the operational requirements for the successful delivery of sustainability, climate change, resilience, adaptation and/or net zero emissions programs 
• Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards, and demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
