About You

The Clinical Educator in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Managers, provide necessary learning opportunities for staff in designated areas, using a variety of teaching strategies.

Exciting permanent full time opportunity to join our Surgical Team at Calvary Riverina Private Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs that support the provision of quality nursing care in collaboration with the Education Manager and other relevant personnelProvide clinical supportProvide education programs that demonstrate the principles of adult learning and reflective practiceProvide Learning packages and Competencies relevant to the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care UnitsProvide Mentorship Program and support for new staff membersUtilises current and appropriate research and Evidence Based Practice when planning education activities

What You Bring

AHPRA Registration as Registered NurseEffective communication skills both verbal and written.Relevant post graduate qualifications in relevant area(s) of expertise and/or education are highly desirable.Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.Minimum of 5 years’ post graduate clinical experience in a critical setting (ICU or CCU) is desired.Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
