Gosford Recovery Hub is Australia's largest drug, alcohol and gambling rehabilitation centre providing residential support services in an abstinence based, drug-free environment.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Case Worker to provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.

This is a full-time position based in Erina (Gosford). Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4.

How will you make an impact

• Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
• Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.
• Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
• Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.

What you will bring

• A current NSW Driver Licence.
• A minimum of Bachelor level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology).
• Demonstrated the ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions.
• Demonstrated strong administrative, time-management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of AOD, mental health, community services and health sectors.
• Sound computer literacy.
• The ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
• The ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants’ needs.
• Experience providing brief intervention and harm minimization information and support to individuals.
• Experience working in collaboration with other organisations.
