About the role
Freshcare Limited is Australia's leading industry-led, not-for-profit organisation established over 25 years ago to provide assurance programs which enhance the market access of Australian fresh produce and wine grapes. Additionally, Freshcare supports the sustainability of viticulture and wine making industries through our certification programs.
As Freshcare continues to deliver its Strategic Vision 2030, we are seeking experienced Non-Executive Directors to provide strategic leadership, sound governance and independent oversight.
Two (2) x three-year terms are available for appointment.
The Board plays a key role in the governance of the organisation, serving as the guardian of the organisation’s strategic vision and values while ensuring compliance and effective risk management.
The Board meets quarterly (two online and two in person annually), with additional time for preparation and committee participation.
Freshcare welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences who are committed to supporting the future of Australian agriculture that have expertise in one or more areas of the following selection criteria - governance, ethics and sustainability, artificial intelligence governance, financial governance and standards stewardship.
We are seeking Directors with expertise in one or more of the following:
Governance
Ethics and Sustainability
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance
Financial Governance
Standards Stewardship
In addition, you will bring:
A 3-year term commencing 10 November 2026.
Directors receive a sitting fee and reimbursement of approved expenses.
