About the role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sales Consultant to join the team at Allcoast Blinds and Shutters. As a Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our company, attending prescheduled appointments in customers homes, driving sales through exceptional service and product knowledge. You will play a crucial role identifying customer needs, presenting tailored solutions and closing sales. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic sales environment where your communication skills and customer focus directly impact business success.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate blind and shutter solutions

• Provide expert product knowledge and advice to help customers make informed purchasing decisions

• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals for customers based on their specifications and budget

• Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team sales goals

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals

• Follow up with leads and prospects to convert enquiries into sales

• Process orders and ensure smooth transaction completion

• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities

• Represent the company professionally at all times and uphold brand values

• Collaborate with the team to share best practices and support company objectives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Sales Consultant, Sales Representative or similar role within a retail or B2B sales environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

• Strong sales ability with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

• Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn and retain technical product information

• Proficiency in using computer systems and CRM software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to resolving issues

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• A valid driver's licence, reliable car and willingness to travel throughout the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie

• Previous experience in the home improvement, furnishings or interior design industry is preferred, but not essential
