The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced trade qualified Workshop Supervisor, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Duties will include: -

·    Creating a harmonious, safe, and productive environment 

·    Running the day-to-day operations of the workshop covering pre-delivery work on new battery electric & IC equipment as well as maintenance on existing customer owned and hire equipment 

·    Producing quotations for workshop repairs ensuring a high standard of workmanship and profitability for the business 

·    Adopt a hands-on approach to mentoring and training the workshop staff with diagnostics & service maintenance creating a positive learning environment

·    Completing accurately and in a timely manner all associated documentation ensuring an efficient, productive, and profitable department in line with company expectations

·    Ensuring the workshop operations comply with the company’s quality management system

·    Conduct regular performance reviews with the workshop staff identifying areas of improvement

·    Work closely with the sales team offering feedback and compliance to the company production schedule

·    Supporting the service operation as required

·    Work as highly valued member of the broader team

Essential to this role: -

·    Trade qualifications in an automotive/plant or heavy equipment discipline

·     3+ years previous experience in a similar role

·     Proven diagnostic ability within a similar industry covering IC engines, LPG, battery electric and hydraulic systems

·     Proven track record in motivating a team creating a strong harmonious, respectful culture

·     Proven track record delivering productivity and efficiency, whilst providing a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

·      Exceptional understanding of quality management systems and WH&S

·      Experience with Microsoft office and ERP systems

·      Excellent written and communication skills 

·      Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

·      Ability to think on your feet, prioritize and display a high level of adaptability and teamwork
