Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years qualified classroom teacher to join our vibrant learning community in 2027 in our Kindy/Pre-primary classroom. This is a full-time position starting in the 2027 school year with opportunities for ongoing employment and extension for an outstanding candidate. Located in the heart of the Wheatbelt and 150 kilometers from Perth, Sacred Heart Catholic School offers a warm, inclusive environment where staff are deeply valued and supported. Our school is known for our strong pastoral care of students and staff and our deep community ties, innovative programs, and commitment to nurturing the whole child. The school caters for 50 students from Three Years Olds to Year Six, with Four composite classes, along with small class sizes.

About the Role
We are looking for a teacher who has a deep understanding of contemporary early childhood pedagogy and is committed to implementing best practice in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and play-based learning. The successful applicant will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to flourish. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and understand how these foundations support successful transitions into formal schooling.

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Create rich, play-based and inquiry-driven learning environments.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
• Use current research and evidence-based practice to inform teaching and assessment.
• Build strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
• Develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and respond to individual learning needs through effective assessment and planning.
• Contribute positively to the life and mission of the school community.
• Demonstrate sound pedagogical practice in explicit teaching enquiry teaching approaches.

Qualifications Required
• Holds recognised teaching qualifications and registration.
• Holds current qualifications in Early Years education and pedagogy.
• Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain).
• Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA.
• A current Working with Children Check.
• Early Year Qualifications
