Senior Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud Small Projects

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys solving customer problems, delivering customer projects and remaining hands-on with technology.

This role sits within our Consulting team and is well suited to someone with experience in consulting or a Managed Services environment who enjoys implementing solutions, working directly with customers and taking ownership of technical outcomes.

You’ll work across a variety of cloud and infrastructure technologies, delivering customer small projects / tasks independently. You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your consulting experience while working with modern technologies across a diverse customer base.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head of Consulting, project managers and service delivery managers, you’ll deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions for both existing and new customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Working independently to deliver smaller infrastructure tasks and small projects for our existing managed services customers
• Working as part of a project team to deliver larger infrastructure projects on new or existing customers
• Working directly with customers to understand requirements and recommend practical technical solutions
• Producing quality technical documentation and implementation notes
• Managing your work effectively while maintaining clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

You’re an experienced infrastructure engineer with a passion for delivering quality technical outcomes and solving customer problems.

You’re organised, proactive and comfortable working independently while knowing when to collaborate with others. You communicate well, build trusted customer relationships and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.

You’ll likely have experience working within a consulting or Managed Services environment and be looking to continue growing your consulting capability while remaining hands-on with technology.

Technical Expertise

You’ll have experience across modern cloud and infrastructure technologies, with strengths in several of the following:

• AWS cloud infrastructure
• Microsoft environments (M365, Windows Server, Active Directory & Identity Services, Group Policy, DHCP etc.)
• Cloud Networking
• Virtualisation (VMWare, HyperV etc.)
• Backup and disaster recovery
• Infrastructure security best practices

Relevant cloud and infrastructure certifications will be highly regarded, and we’ll continue to invest in your professional development.
