About the role
An exciting opportunity to build on and develop your corporate accounting skills with a variety of work and clients. Flexible working arrangements are also available to all team members.
Our office location is in the CBD and close to a number of cafes, restaurants, leisure centres and key business contacts.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare and review financial statements: monthly, half-yearly and annual accounts based upon financial information that is compiled and analysed within Australian and International Accounting Standards
Responsible for ensuring that all financial reporting deadlines are met, internally and externally as per ASX and Australian Securities and Investments Corporation (ASIC) requirements including quarterly, semi-annual & annual reports as well as accounting standards application to commercial transactions
Preparation of audit files for half-year and full-year accounts
Liaison with external company auditors
Co-ordination of the completion of the annual income tax return and other indirect taxes
Liaise with clients, financial professionals, tax professionals, legal providers on accounting tasks and corporate transactions
To be successful in this role we expect you will have:
Preferably 3-6 years of accounting experience preferably in audit or business advisory
Great team player
Exposure to and advanced skills in use of accounting software essential
Advanced Excel skills essential
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
Interest in completing CA or CPA qualification or have commenced studies
