About the role

Iqra College is seeking an experienced and passionate teacher with the capacity to teach PE to join our team on a full-time, fixed term basis. Based in O'Halloran Hill, SA, this role will play a crucial part in delivering engaging and high-quality secondary education to our diverse student body.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver comprehensive PE curriculum to students across high school

• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.

• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child.

• Be passionate about how learning occurs and utilize a variety of appropriate pedagogies to engage students and enhance their understanding of concepts.

• Be creative in assessing student progress through ongoing formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support their growth.

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular initiatives and extracurricular activities that enrich the learning experience.

• Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance

What we're looking for

• Degree in Education or relevant field.

• Valid teaching certification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia or any other state.

• Demonstrable experience teaching the subjects at the secondary school level

• Strong subject matter expertise and the ability to engage students through creative, hands-on learning.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
