About Lasercraft AustraliaLasercraft Australia is a not-for-profit disability service provider and social enterprise based on the NSW Central Coast. We provide supported employment, community access, transport, and skills development opportunities for people with disability.As part of a significant organisational sustainability and service transformation program, Lasercraft is seeking an experienced NDIS professional to lead participant transition planning, stakeholder consultation, compliance activities, and implementation of service model changes.
Position PurposeThe NDIS Compliance & Change Lead will provide dedicated leadership and expertise to support organisational change initiatives, participant transitions, stakeholder engagement, compliance management, and audit readiness.The role will ensure all changes are implemented in line with NDIS Practice Standards, participant choice and control principles, and organisational quality requirements while minimising operational and compliance risk.
Key ResponsibilitiesChange Management & Service TransitionLead participant transition and implementation activities associated with service model changes.Develop and maintain transition plans, consultation plans and implementation schedules.Coordinate stakeholder engagement with participants, families, carers, support coordinators and external agencies.Monitor transition risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Support managers to implement approved organisational change initiatives.NDIS Compliance & Quality AssuranceMaintain compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.Review and update policies, procedures and operational documentation.Conduct internal compliance reviews and quality audits.Coordinate preparation for external audits and regulatory reviews.Monitor corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.Participant Documentation & Service AgreementsReview and maintain service agreements, schedules of support and participant records.Ensure documentation meets NDIS and organisational requirements.Support implementation of changes to participant funding and service arrangements.Assist managers in maintaining accurate compliance records.Continuous ImprovementDevelop compliance systems, templates, guides and tools.Identify opportunities to improve organisational processes and documentation.Support implementation of systems that strengthen governance, quality and participant outcomes.Prepare compliance and project progress reports for management and the Board as required.
Skills and ExperienceEssentialDemonstrated experience within the NDIS disability services sector.Strong working knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.Experience supporting audits, compliance programs and quality systems.Experience managing or supporting organisational change projects.Experience working with participants, families and support coordinators.Strong stakeholder consultation and communication skills.Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgement.High level report writing, documentation and project management skills.
DesirableQualifications in Disability, Community Services, Quality Management, Human Services or related field.Experience leading participant transitions or service redesign projects.Experience implementing continuous improvement frameworks.Knowledge of ShiftCare or similar client management systems.
Key OutcomesSuccess in this role will be demonstrated through:Effective implementation of participant transition activities.High levels of stakeholder engagement and consultation.Audit readiness maintained throughout the contract period.Compliance risks identified and mitigated.Updated policies, procedures and documentation implemented.Service model changes successfully supported and embedded.
