About the role
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants genuine ownership of the management accounting function. You'll work closely with finance and operational leadership, providing the financial insight and project-level visibility that drives sound decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and owning the monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
Delivering project-level financial reporting - tracking costs, budgets, and margins across the portfolio
Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
Working cross-functionally with project managers and operations teams to ensure financial data reflects operational reality
Owning the month-end close processes, journals, and reconciliations
Identifying and driving process improvements in reporting and financial controls
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
CA or CPA qualified, or working towards (desirable)
3-6 years' experience in a management accounting or project accounting role
Strong understanding of cost accounting, job costing, or project-based reporting
Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems an advantage
Experience with MYOB Acumatica (desirable)
A self-starter comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete data
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently across finance and operational teams
Immediately available or on short notice preferred
