Pump Fitter / Pump Technician

Water Dynamics Darwin is a leading provider of irrigation, pumping and water management solutions across the Northern Territory. Based in Yarrawonga, our Service Division supports commercial, industrial and retail customers through preventative maintenance, servicing and emergency breakdown repairs.

We are looking for an experienced Pump Fitter / Pump Technician to join our growing Service Division.

This is a hands-on role servicing and repairing a wide range of pumping and hydraulic systems across the NT. You will work both independently and as part of our experienced Service team, attending customer sites and undertaking workshop-based repairs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installation, servicing and repair of submersible, variable speed, end suction, solar and turbine pumps.

• Fault finding and diagnosing pump and hydraulic system issues.

• Preventative maintenance, testing and commissioning.

• Hydraulic system upgrades and modifications.

• Preparing repair estimates using technical manuals and parts catalogues.

• Completing clear and accurate service reports.

• Providing professional customer service and practical technical solutions.

• Supporting the Irrigation Service and Installation teams when required.

• Working safely and complying with all WHS requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Extensive experience in pump repair and servicing.

• Experience in the irrigation industry.

• Strong knowledge of pumping applications and hydraulic systems.

• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Good time management and organisational skills.

• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

• A positive "can-do" attitude.

• A current driver's licence.

Highly desirable: Restricted Electrical or Electrical Licence and relevant mechanical trade qualifications.
