Breakfast Commis Chef – From Here by Mike

Summary:

We are on the lookout for energetic Commis Chefs to join our Breakfast team. You will work alongside a passionate kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional guest service and experiences.

Our restaurant is a hatted venue, serving A-la-Carte breakfast to in-house guests along with external. Must be able to work within a busy environment while continuing to uphold our brand standards.

This position is not available for sponsorship, only those with current full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with recipes, presentation and hotel standards.
• Assist senior chefs with daily mise en place and service preparation.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner during busy service periods.
• Uphold the hotel’s sustainability initiatives by reducing food waste and using ingredients responsibly.
• Follow all hygiene, HACCAP and workplace health and safety standards
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for culinary excellence.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
• Passion for food, creativity and continuous learning
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Certificate III in commercial cookery preferred.
