Join a supportive Orthopaedic team in beautiful Mackay! Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an exciting short term contract within a busy Orthopaedic Ward in Mackay.

Contract Details

• Location: Mackay, QLD
• Orthopaedic Ward
• Contract: 17 August 2026 – 30 August 2026
• Rotating roster including 8 and 12 hour shifts
• Up to 80 hours per fortnight
• Travel and accommodation assistance available (where applicable)

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years' recent clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
• Current ieMR training completed within the last 12 months (essential)
• Orthopaedic, Surgical or Acute Ward experience
• Previous Queensland Health experience highly regarded
• Australian clinical experience preferred

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Manual Handling competency
• Infection Prevention & Control (including Hand Hygiene)
• Mandatory Reporting (Child Abuse & Neglect)
• Occupational Violence Prevention Training
• Ability to complete any required online induction or site specific education
