Sales Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales/Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Terika Pty Ltd in Coffs Harbour. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales across our retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our business, interacting with customers and contributing to our store's success and growth targets.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in finding products that meet their needs

• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale

• Maintaining product displays and ensuring the store is neat, organised and visually appealing

• Restocking shelves and managing inventory levels in your assigned areas

• Providing expert product knowledge and making recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction

• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly

• Supporting promotional activities and implementing store marketing initiatives

• Following cash handling procedures and maintaining till accountability

• Working collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives and targets

• Adhering to company policies, health and safety regulations, and visual merchandising standards

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (building industry)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers

• A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine passion for helping customers

• Strong numeracy skills and competency with point-of-sale systems

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks

• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays as required

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation

• Reliability and punctuality
