Casual/Relief ESL Teacher

EF International Language Campus (Perth) is located in the heart of the CBD, right next to Yagan Square. We deliver General English and English for Academic Purposes courses for international students.

Our classes are delivered face-to-face over two shifts Monday to Friday between 8.00 AM-2.00 PM, and 1.00PM-6PM. Applicants should be flexible to teach some mornings and some afternoons across the week. 

We offer Casual and teaching relief contracts with flexible arrangement, and the salary is determined by the applicant’s qualifications and ESL experience (adults & children). The contract will be subject to the provisions of the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020. There are multiple casual teaching positions available.

Requirements:

The ESL teacher is responsible, on an individual and team basis, for providing students with a variety of services and resources that enables students to reach their personal needs and objectives within the educational services framework. They will actively collaborate with all center staff to provide a welcoming and professional environment to everyone and a positive learning experience for students.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any major.
• TESOL qualification (e.g. CELTA or Certificate IV in TESOL). Please note that the ESL, CELTA, TESOL certificate should include at least 6 hours of supervised teaching with real students and 120 hours or course work. 
• Statement of hours for any previous ESL teaching experiences. Note – prior experience is not required.
• Two recent references.
• Availability to teach during our peak teaching period (August–March) is desirable.
