MCI Australia is looking for an enthusiastic Event Assistant or Intern to join our Corporate Events Team in Sydney.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student with a genuine passion for events and creating memorable experiences. The role can be structured on either a part-time basis to support study commitments or as a full-time position for graduates looking to launch their career.
You'll work alongside experienced project managers and creatives, gaining hands-on experience delivering corporate events for leading brands across Australia and beyond while building the foundations of a long-term career in the events industry.
You'll have the opportunity to work on conferences, brand activations, incentives, executive experiences, product launches and other creative corporate events, learning from some of the industry's most experienced event professionals.

What you'll be doing
Supporting our project delivery team to:Plan and deliver corporate events and experiencesCoordinate event logistics, registrations and attendee communicationsLiaise with suppliers, venues and internal stakeholdersSupport event managers with project administration and schedulingAssist with on-site event delivery and the delegate experienceContribute ideas and creative solutions to enhance event outcomesLearn the fundamentals of event budgeting, planning and project managementSupport multiple projects across live, virtual and hybrid event formats
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who brings positive energy, values collaboration and contributes to a great team culture. Most importantly, you'll care deeply about delivering great work, supporting your teammates and creating exceptional experiences for our clients.
Specifically, you will:Have completed, be studying towards, or have an interest in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or a related fieldHave a genuine desire to build a career in event managementPossess a confident, people-oriented personality and a willingness to learnBe proactive and comfortable asking questions when guidance is neededDemonstrate excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detailEnjoy working collaboratively as part of a teamBe willing to roll up your sleeves and help wherever neededHave strong written and verbal communication skillsBe willing to occasionally work flexible hours and attend events outside standard business hoursPrevious customer service, hospitality, retail, volunteer or event experience will be viewed favourably but is not essential
