• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $128,052 to $142,649 p.a. + super

About the role

The Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulation Group is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer, Data and Systems to lead the management of enhancements to information systems and governance of data for reporting that supports the Biodiversity Conservation Program. In this role, you will ensure reliable data, effective digital capabilities and actionable insights that enable evidence-based decision-making, efficient program delivery and continuous improvement.

About You

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for leading the requirements gathering and specifications development for a new web-based data management platform and supporting testing. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between scientific conservation needs and technical development, ensuring the platform effectively supports conservation efforts and user needs.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with relevant knowledge of threatened species conservation, who thrives in a small, agile, and results-focused team environment. 

Key knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of threatened species conservation and relevant NSW conservation frameworks and programs, including the Biodiversity Conservation Program.
• Experience in managing and maintaining database and information systems to support biodiversity conservation.

Essential requirements

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
