• Full-time fixed term position to September 2027, located in Wollongong NSW
• Base annual rate $106,595 to $112,988 negotiable based on experience and qualifications

As Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of community services across multiple programs within the Uniting Communities Directorate.

Leading with both heart and professionalism, you'll support and develop your team, oversee service delivery, drive program outcomes, and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You'll operate with a high level of autonomy while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading, mentoring and supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional community services.
• Fostering a culture that is inclusive, culturally responsive and person-centred.
• Managing day-to-day service operations, including client allocation and resource planning.
• Monitoring program performance to ensure contractual KPIs, quality standards and service objectives are achieved.
• Conducting performance reviews, coaching staff and supporting professional growth.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, community organisations, government agencies and service partners.
• Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, risk management frameworks, WHS obligations and incident reporting processes.
• Contributing to program development, service integration, policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collecting, analysing and reporting data to support quality outcomes and informed decision-making.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• A qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with children, young people and families.
• An understanding of child protection, family wellbeing and early intervention principles.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and experience working respectfully alongside First Nations families and children, understanding the importance of culture, connection to Country, kinship networks and community in achieving positive outcomes.
• Have experience supporting families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, using culturally responsive, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to build trust and engagement.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• A current NSW WWCC
