We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader – Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) to support the delivery of safe, inclusive and engaging programs for school-aged children across our OSHC services.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about children's learning, wellbeing and development. Working closely with the Service Director and Assistant Service Director, you will help lead service operations, support and mentor educators, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.

About the Role

• Lead the day-to-day operations of OSHC services, ensuring high-quality care and engaging programs for children.
• Support and mentor educators to build a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture. 
• Promote a strong child-safe environment and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. 
• Work closely with families, schools and stakeholders to support positive outcomes for children.
• Contribute to service planning, quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

• You are a passionate and experienced education professional who is committed to child safety, inclusion and quality care. 
• You have strong leadership skills and enjoy supporting and developing others to succeed.
• You are highly organised, adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment. 
• You build strong relationships with children, families, educators and stakeholders. 
• You are proactive, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement.

Experience & Skills

• ACECQA-approved tertiary qualification in Education (where required). 
• Demonstrated experience in OSHC and/or Early Childhood Education settings.
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations, EYLF and My Time, Our Place. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support educators in delivering high-quality programs. 
• Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills. 
• Commitment to child safety, inclusion and ethical practice.

• Experience contributing to Quality Improvement Plans and continuous service improvement initiatives. 
• Experience using childcare management systems and educational reporting tools. 
• Previous leadership or acting leadership experience within Children's Services. 
• Experience building positive partnerships with families, schools and community stakeholders.

To be eligible for employment, you must have an active Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, working rights in Australia, and be willing to undertake background checks required for the position, including a National Police Check.
