Dispatch Operator

Link Labor Hire is seeking an experienced and reliable Dispatch Operator to support a busy automotive parts distribution operation in Lidcombe.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Location: Lidcombe, NSW

About the Role:

Working within the dispatch area, the successful candidate will help ensure automotive parts and accessories are
checked, scanned, organised and prepared accurately for outbound delivery.
This is a hands-on warehouse position where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are particularly
important. The role works closely with warehouse operators, order pickers and the wider distribution team to
ensure completed orders move efficiently through dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive completed orders into the dispatch area and prepare them for outbound delivery.
• Check picked orders against relevant paperwork and system information to ensure accuracy.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to scan, verify and process outgoing stock.
• Sort and stage orders according to delivery runs, destinations or collection requirements.
• Pack, label and prepare automotive parts and accessories for dispatch.
• Ensure correct quantities, part numbers and order details before goods leave the warehouse.
• Identify and report discrepancies, missing items or damaged stock.
• Assist with loading and movement of outgoing goods as required.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and associated documentation.
• Liaise with warehouse team members and supervisors regarding order or stock discrepancies.
• Assist with general stock movement and warehouse duties during quieter dispatch periods.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe dispatch area.
• Follow site procedures and all workplace health and safety requirements.
• Perform other reasonable warehouse and dispatch duties as required.
• About You
• Previous experience in warehouse dispatch, distribution, pick packing or a similar warehouse environment.
• Experience using RF scanners.
• Good computer and warehouse system skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of order accuracy.
• Experience checking orders, labels, quantities and accompanying documentation.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, deadline-driven dispatch environment.
• Good communication skills and confidence to raise discrepancies when identified.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Physical capability to undertake manual handling and general warehouse duties.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger warehouse team.
• Automotive parts, spare parts, transport, logistics or high-volume distribution experience is highly regarded.
• A current forklift licence is advantageous but is not essential unless required for assigned duties.

Role Expectations:

The Dispatch Operator is an important final accuracy checkpoint before an order leaves the warehouse.The ideal candidate will take ownership of their work, pay close attention to order details and maintain accuracywhile working at pace. They should be comfortable using RF scanning technology, handling a varied range ofproducts and supporting the broader warehouse operation when required.

Pay: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour
