UPT - Ultimate Plant Trailers Pty Ltd is a manufacturing company based in North Geelong, Victoria. We are an established market leader in semi trailer manufacturing and are recognised throughout Australia for our comprehensive range of quality and reliable equipment.
Your Role
UPT is currently seeking to fill the position of Fitter/ Trailer final assembly in the Company’s fit-out section.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for working in a team and autonomously in a highly industrial manufacturing environment with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail and continuous improvement ensuring fitment of semi-trailers occurs in a timely fashion.
Work Life Balance
Working a 38 Hr week with 1 flexible RDO a month. Overtime is always available and is a choice for our staff. with a 7 am start and a 3.30 finish.
Due to the nature of the product, it is also highly desirable that you are a trade qualified mechanical fitter with proven experience specifically within the vehicle body building industry or similar industrial environment. Experience in production, engineering or lean manufacturing would also be highly regarded.
Experience in the following will be favourably looked on:
Mechanical experience.
EBS Programming.
Electrical Fitting (lights, power, pumps etc).
Airbag Suspension Systems.
EBS & ABS Brake Systems Fitting.
Spring & Disc Brake Systems Fitting.
Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems Fitting.
Forklift licences.
You must also possess the following attributes:

Able to work in a team environment with the commitment to continuous improvement.
Mechanical aptitude.
