Flooring Sales Assistant

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced flooring professional who wants more than a standard retail role. You'll be on the road, meeting customers in their homes, working with warm leads generated by our marketing, and guiding them through the process from consultation through to installation completion. You'll also have the opportunity to build your own network, including relationships with property managers and repeat clients.

Key responsibilities

• Attending pre-booked in-home appointments

• Showcasing a wide range of flooring options from our mobile showroom

• Recommending the right products based on each customer's needs

• Measuring and preparing clear, itemised quotes on the spot using our custom software

• Following up quotes and confidently converting opportunities into sales

• Managing jobs from consultation through to installation completion

• Coordinating orders and installation schedules

• Communicating daily with our wider team

About you

• Valid driver's licence

• Proven, hands-on experience in the flooring industry (essential)

• Experience across carpet, carpet tiles, vinyl planks, hybrid, laminate, and timber flooring

• Exposure to residential and some commercial projects

• Strong understanding of subfloor preparation and installation methods

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Highly organised with excellent time management

• Comfortable using modern digital systems and technology

• Well presented, approachable, and professional

• Driven, self-motivated, and eager to excel in an autonomous role
