Service Technician

Hoisting Equipment Specialists is a well established, Australian owned business with over 40 years of experience in the supply, service, maintenance and installation of overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our NSW team. This is a hands on, field based role suited to a motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, working safely, and delivering practical solutions to our customers.

About the Role

Working across a variety of customer sites, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing overhead cranes, electric hoists and winches, ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently:

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance

• Attending breakdowns to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

• Using our InspectSafe portal to complete detailed service reports and compliance documentation with a high level of accuracy

• Communicating with customers, providing practical solutions and technical support

• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards and safety standards

• Working independently whilst maintaining strong communication with the team

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Electrician Licence (essential)

• At least 3 years proven experience in a technical service role, ideally within crane, lifting or industrial equipment

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding capability

• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and technical schematics

• A commitment to safe work practices and procedures

• Solid problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach

• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

• Current Driver’s Licence and Australian Working Rights (essential)

Desirable (but not essential)

• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket

• Working at Heights certification

• Dogging or Rigging tickets

• Experience with overhead cranes, hoists or winches
