Your Role
An exciting role exists to join the team at Catholic Education Office in the position of HR Officer, for immediate commencement. This is a full-time continuing position, based in Rockhampton.
The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional to contribute to effective employment practices across our schools and colleges. Working as part of a collaborative team, the role provides the opportunity to apply and further develop expertise across a broad range of recruitment, employment, compliance and employee lifecycle processes in support of Catholic education.
The successful applicant will have well-developed administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. They will bring demonstrated experience in human resources and a sound understanding of employment legislation, awards, industrial agreements, recruitment practices and employee records management, together with a commitment to providing responsive, accurate and professional support to employees and stakeholders.
The position is responsible for supporting employment and staffing processes, working closely with payroll in meeting fortnightly pay deadlines, preparing employment-related correspondence and documentation, maintaining accurate employee records, and responding to stakeholder enquiries, while ensuring compliance with CEDR policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
