Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Reporting to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller will have responsibility for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the Group's financial reporting and control environment. You will lead a finance team and work closely with senior management across the organisation, providing strong financial governance while also contributing commercially to business performance and decision-making. The role will have broad exposure across financial control, management reporting, cash flow, budgeting, compliance, systems and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group's financial accounting and reporting function across multiple entities

• Oversee the month-end, year-end and financial close processes

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and Group financial reporting

• Provide high-quality financial analysis, reporting and insights to senior management

• Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure the integrity of the Group's financial information

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger integrity and key accounting processes

• Manage cash flow reporting, working capital and balance sheet performance

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes

• Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key business objectives

• Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts and other regulatory reporting

About you

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification

• Significant experience in a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role

• Experience working across multiple entities or business units

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge

• Demonstrated experience leading month-end and year-end processes

• Strong understanding of internal controls, governance and financial risk

• Experience managing and developing finance teams

• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management experience

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability

• Experience working with ERP, accounting and reporting systems

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills

• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability

Desirable

Experience in a high-volume, operationally complex or service-based organisation would be advantageous.

Experience with:

• Business transformation and finance process improvement

• ERP implementations or system upgrades

• Business intelligence and reporting tools

• Acquisitions, integration or corporate restructuring

• Working with private equity, institutional investors or other sophisticated stakeholders
