The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director & Head of Real Estate Asia Pacific, the Analyst is accountable for assisting the Real Estate Investment team which includes the Directors and Portfolio Managers in the identification, selection, evaluation, and ongoing management of relationships and Real Estate Investments across the Asia Pacific region.

Core Accountabilities

Under the general direction of the Managing Director, develop an understanding of the investment decision-making and partner selection processExamine potential investments, partnerships (including joint ventures, club deals and funds), as well as tax and financial structures using models and a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical toolsAssist in the underwriting process of Real Estate investmentsCompile data and financial informationConduct real estate market researchParticipate in the monitoring and management of the investment portfolioOther relevant duties and projects as assignedConduct consistent with our Guiding Principles of Integrity, Partnership and High Performance

Core Qualifications (Education And Experience)

1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, real estate investing or related financial analysis roles.An undergraduate or advanced degree program in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline; candidates with a relevant technical background in real estate development or a related academic degree will have an advantage.CPA, CFA or CFA Candidate would be an advantageReal Estate knowledge in Asia Pacific marketsStrong interest in technology and related fieldsStrong quantitative, financial and analytical skills (DCF and financial modelling)Fluent in English; both strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in Japanese or Korean will be an advantage.Solid understanding of MS Office, Excel, Power Point; Prefer familiarity with Argus financial software Flexibility, adaptability and initiativeTeam player who enjoys a high performing culture Professionalism and integrityDesire to learn and express opinionsExemplify our Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership and high performanceStrong academic and extracurricular track record, with a demonstrated interest in financial markets, portfolio management, and investing, alongside strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, and high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity
