The Company

Our client is undertaking a major airline retailing transformation focused on modernising customer commerce, servicing and operational platforms. Working alongside industry-leading technology providers, they are reshaping the future of airline operations through a next-generation Offer and Order model.

The Role

As the Functional Lead, you will own the end-to-end functional workstream, acting as the key bridge between airline business stakeholders, delivery teams and platform vendors. You will lead requirements gathering, process design, fit-gap analysis and business readiness activities while ensuring the new operating model aligns with airline objectives and industry best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement across pricing, distribution, retailing, interline and customer operations
• Gather, validate and document functional requirements
• Translate business needs into process designs, user stories and specifications
• Lead fit-gap analysis between business requirements and platform capabilities
• Drive functional decision making across business and vendor teams
• Develop business process maps, functional specifications and fit-gap registers
• Own functional cutover planning and transition activities
• Support migration from legacy PSS platforms to modern Offer and Order capabilities

What Our Client Requires

• 15+ years of airline industry experience is essential
• Deep expertise across airline retailing, reservations, ticketing, pricing, NDC distribution or interline operations
• Previous experience working directly within an airline, travel technology provider or PSS vendor
• Strong understanding of airline retailing transformation programs
• Practical knowledge of IATA One Order and NDC standards
• Proven experience producing business requirements and process documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
