About the role
This is an opportunity to work on beautiful Bruny Island, serving delicious meals and drinks for our cruise and day tour guests dining at our beachfront restaurant.
Our simple menu includes premium Tasmanian fish & chips, gourmet rolls, fresh salads, hot pumpkin soup, and delicious blueberry muffins all made with fresh, quality ingredients. We also have a range of local beers, wine, cider and juices.
These meals are a crucial part of the experience we provide to our Bruny Island Cruises and Bruny Island Traveller tours, which have been recognised with 16 Australian and 34 Tasmanian Tourism Awards.
The restaurant features a spacious, open-plan kitchen with modern equipment. The building looks out over Adventure Bay and borders the South Bruny National Park.
The OpportunityYou would be involved in all aspects of the Front of House including taking orders, preparing drinks, serving meals, setting and clearing tables, cleaning and ensuring our guests have a great experience.
A small bus transport service is available daily from Kettering for employees who don't live on Bruny Island.
Work hours are approximately 8am to 4pm, and this is a daytime-only operation. Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual positions are available.
We have opportunities available for staff interested in working over the summer peak season, and also opportunities available for staff looking to work all-year round.
We can be flexible in offering 2 to 5 days a week depending on your preferences and availability.
Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential as all training is provided. You would also need to hold, or be willing to obtain, your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
How to ApplyPlease ensure you submit a resume and a cover letter outlining why you think you'd be a great fit for this position.
Applications close on Friday 28th August 2026.
