About the role
Position Details:
Sacred Heart School is a single-stream Catholic Primary School located in the heart of Mundaring with 228 students. Our school is warm and friendly, offering high-quality education and a genuine sense of community to our students and their families.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and exceptional Visual Arts Teacher to join our school community. The successful applicant will be a passionate and creative educator who inspires students to explore, develop, and express their artistic talents in a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Visual Arts curriculum, effective classroom practice, and a commitment to nurturing each student's creativity, confidence, and appreciation of the arts.
Selection Criteria:
• be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• possess strong knowledge of the Visual Arts curriculum and the ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences across a range of artistic disciplines and media.
• demonstrate a passion for Visual Arts education and the ability to inspire creativity, imagination, and self-expression in students.
• have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of children.
• offer a differentiated curriculum to cater for children of all abilities and assist all students to achieve their full potential.
• have an awareness of 21st century teaching and learning strategies; implement teaching programs that engage all students
• be an organised staff member who shows initiative, flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
• demonstrate highly competent classroom management skills.
• be accredited to teach Religious Education or be willing to undertake the relevant courses.
Qualifications Required:
• a minimum four-year tertiary qualification.
• a current TRBWA and a Working with Children registration.
• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or working towards).
